Genie User Guidelines
At Genie, we’re building a community grounded in respect, sincerity, and shared values. These guidelines help ensure Genie remains a safe, meaningful space for everyone.
Violations may result in warnings, restricted features, suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.
1. Respect & Kindness
Treat others with respect at all times.
Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or hate speech is not tolerated.
Discrimination or hateful conduct based on race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender, or background is prohibited.
Abusive, demeaning, threatening, or aggressively hostile behavior is not allowed.
Do not target, shame, or humiliate other users.
2. Honesty & Integrity
Be authentic and truthful.
Do not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.
Do not use fake, stolen, or misleading photos or information.
Do not create misleading profiles or deliberately conceal material information about yourself.
Clearly represent your intentions. Genie is designed for meaningful, sincere connections.
3. Privacy & Boundaries
Respect the privacy and personal boundaries of others.
Do not share another person's photos, messages, voice communications, or personal information without appropriate permission.
Do not pressure, manipulate, or coerce anyone into sharing personal information or engaging in interactions they are uncomfortable with.
Do not record, reproduce, distribute, or publicly share another user's private voice conversations without appropriate consent or authorization.
Do not expose or distribute another person's private information.
4. Content Standards
Keep all content respectful and appropriate.
Prohibited content includes:
Nudity or sexually explicit material.
Sexual exploitation or sexualized content involving minors.
Grooming, predatory behavior, or attempts to facilitate exploitation or trafficking.
Violent or graphic content intended to shock, threaten, or promote harm.
Hate speech or extremist propaganda.
Content promoting or facilitating illegal or seriously harmful activities.
Content intended to threaten, intimidate, or encourage harm toward others.
Genie reserves the right to remove content that violates these standards or presents a safety risk.
5. Safety & Security
Help keep yourself and others safe.
Do not use Genie for scams, fraud, financial exploitation, or solicitation of money.
Do not deceive or exploit other users.
Do not pressure another user to send money, make investments, purchase products, or provide financial information.
Be cautious when sharing personal information or moving conversations off-platform.
Never share passwords, financial account information, authentication codes, or sensitive documents with another user.
When meeting someone for the first time, choose a safe, public environment and consider informing someone you trust of your plans.
If something feels wrong, trust your instincts and disengage.
6. Responsible Use of AI & Voice Features
Genie uses AI and voice technology to enhance interactions and provide matchmaking and personalization features.
You agree not to:
Use AI or voice features to harass, deceive, threaten, manipulate, or exploit others.
Impersonate another person, including through altered or synthetic voice.
Use AI-generated or altered content to materially mislead another user about your identity or intentions.
Attempt to manipulate, circumvent, disrupt, or bypass Genie’s AI or safety systems.
Generate, request, or encourage harmful, deceptive, abusive, or inappropriate content.
Use Genie’s AI features to facilitate fraud, harassment, exploitation, or other prohibited conduct.
Genie may use automated safety systems and, where appropriate, authorized human review to detect, investigate, and respond to violations or safety concerns, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
7. Fair Use & Community Integrity
Help keep Genie a trustworthy community.
Do not attempt to game, exploit, manipulate, or circumvent the platform, matchmaking system, or AI features.
Do not use technical vulnerabilities, automated methods, or other methods to obtain an unfair advantage.
Do not engage in behavior intended to deliberately mislead or unfairly influence platform outcomes.
Do not create or operate multiple accounts for deceptive or abusive purposes.
Do not use Genie for spam, unsolicited commercial activity, or unauthorized promotion.
Accounts engaging in such behavior may be restricted, suspended, or permanently removed.
8. Reporting, Blocking & Enforcement
You are in control of your experience.
You can block or mute users at any time.
You can report inappropriate, suspicious, or unsafe behavior through available in-app tools.
Reports may be reviewed using automated systems and, where appropriate, authorized human review.
Genie may:
Remove or restrict content.
Restrict or terminate conversations or access to features.
Suspend or permanently remove accounts.
Take other appropriate action to protect users, the platform, or the integrity of the community.
We may take action even when conduct does not fit neatly into a specific example above if we reasonably determine that it creates a significant safety, integrity, or community risk.
9. Respecting the Genie Team
Please treat Genie employees, contractors, moderators, and support personnel with respect.
Abusive, threatening, harassing, or intimidating behavior toward Genie team members is not permitted.
Attempts to manipulate, threaten, or abuse support or moderation processes may result in account restriction or termination.
